  6. uniq takes a list of filenames as its input, uniquifies
  7. them and prints formatted output to stdout.
  8. Input might be taken from the contents of a directory,
  9. processed upon, producing a executable script file,
  10. which makes it possible to rename/copy the source
  11. files uniquely to a MSDOS (hard)disk.
